Frequently asked questions

Honest answers — never inflated, never lowballed.

How much does a custom app or website cost?
There’s no fixed price list, because it depends on the scope of what we build. I see your site first, then give an honest quote — never inflated, never lowballed.
You’re a one-person company — can I really trust you with this?
Yes. I’ve built and run things like attendance apps and payment-integrated websites myself. Being solo actually means one person takes responsibility and communicates with you directly, from start to finish.
What does “the app becomes mine” mean?
This applies to custom builds. The app, the data and the accounts are all created in your name, and you can take all of your data with you at any time.
Subscription services that J&I builds and runs work differently: J&I maintains the app, and you can download your business data at any time.
Is it an app that goes on the App Store?
Most are “web apps (PWA).” Add it to your phone’s home screen and it works just like an app. No App Store review or fees — you can start fast and light.
How long does it take to build?
It depends on the scope, but a simple tool can start quickly. We set the schedule together after I’ve seen your site.
What industries do you work with?
Restaurants, cafés, catering, care services — no limits. If there’s an annoying task you repeat every day, I can usually help.
What if I need changes later, or something breaks?
I fix it myself. I built it, so nothing goes through a middleman. Unlike outsourcing, the line never goes dead — the person who built it stays responsible to the end.
Are there monthly costs?
There may be a small hosting cost to keep the app running, and I tell you everything honestly before we sign. No hidden fees. For custom builds, that account is in your name, too.
Can I use it even if I’m not good with computers?
Yes. If it’s hard to use, that means I built it wrong. Making it usable with just a few taps is my job.
My idea is still vague — can I still hire you?
Yes. Vague is normal. We sort it out together. “This part is a hassle” is enough to start — I’ll draw up the structure and the design.
Once we sign, what happens first?
It starts with me watching how you work, in person (or by video call). The order is: observe → design → build → hand over to you → ongoing support.
Customer and staff data is involved — is it safe?
For custom builds, data is stored in an account under your name and is not held separately. For subscription services, data is kept on servers J&I maintains. Either way, security is built into the design from the very start.
